    12 of 51: November 21st 1934 National Tour

In this article published by the Seattle Daily Times exactly 51 years before my birthday in 1986(don't check the math), Gloria's travel plans were announced on page 20 about her 1935 Spring Tour of 9 cities in Penssylvania, Texas, and the west coast. There are 9 Story titles announced, (one for each city). This information was credited in the article to an AP Dispatch. Dates for visits in Boise and Tacoma were mentioned specifically later in the article.

The best part of the article I am going to quote directly: " According to Miss Chandler, who aim is to stimulate interest in children's theatres, linking it with local activities such as schools and PTAs and giving children entertainment that is really meant for them."

There is also a mention of her boss at the National Junior League (headquartered NY) , Miss Helenka Adamowsky, and her fancy familiy connections.

FURTHER POTENTIAL RESOURCES: The Seattle Times has 6 articles mentioning Gloria Chandler in 1934. I have not yet searched local newspapers from this or any of the previous tours yet. In a later post I would like to delve into building a chronology of which cities she traveled to and when while she was working for the Junior League so I can search local media from those states in that time window as well.
