    11 of 51: April 25 1937.... SLAPSTICK!

This article starts catchy but then really highlights her expertise and experience as an advocate for dramatic arts education. Gloria is in Seattle ending another round of tours as the "dynamic and authoritative" Children's Theatre representative of the National Junior League. This tour included stops in Mexico City and Honolulu. While in Seattle, she is supervising the presentation of the play Heidi to be presented at the Orpheum Theatre in Seattle on May 15th and is staying at the home of Mrs. Leon Auzias de Turenne of 1915 N Trent Ave ( which I cant find so I dont know if it is an old street that no longer exists) whose kid was playing the lead.

The article mentions that kids want to see familiar stories that they can go home and play pretend as the characters. Rather than "gangster tales" seen elsewhere, these plays gives kids something age appropriate to engage with.
